JudgePop Privacy Policy

1. Information we process

JudgePop may process the following information when you use the service:

  • Account: Supabase Auth user ID, Apple or Google provider ID, provider-supplied email, login and session records
  • Profile: nickname, bio, app and content language, country and region, optional gender, age band, and interests
  • Activity: posts, comments, verdicts, empathy, views and feed interactions, reports, blocks, mutes, XP, ranks, rankings, and rewards
  • Media: uploaded photos, videos, thumbnails, YouTube URLs and video identifiers, and file metadata
  • Technical information: IP address, device and browser details, access time, security and error events
  • Support information: support requests, bug reports, and attachments

2. Why we process information

We use information for sign-in and sessions, onboarding, posting, voting, comments, personalized feeds, regional and seasonal rankings, result reports, notifications, and support. We also use it for reports, blocks, abuse prevention, security, data integrity, incident response, and de-identified statistics.

3. Processing basis and optional information

Information needed to provide the service is processed to perform the service agreement and for legitimate reliability and security purposes. Consent is requested where required by law. Gender, age band, interests, and some region information are optional and are not required for core account features.

4. Service providers and international processing

  • Supabase: authentication, database, RPC, and operational records
  • Cloudflare: Workers, R2 media storage and delivery, CDN, and security traffic
  • Google: Google sign-in, YouTube Data API, YouTube embedded player, and Google Mobile Ads when enabled
  • Apple: Sign in with Apple

Providers may process information in multiple countries under their infrastructure and policies. JudgePop does not sell personal information for independent marketing purposes.

5. Retention and deletion

Account and profile information is kept while the account is used and enters deletion, anonymization, or access-restriction processing after an account deletion request. Posts, comments, votes, and safety records may be retained with identification minimized when needed for community verdict integrity, report review, disputes, or legal obligations.

Uploaded photos and videos have no fixed rank-based expiration. After staff review, some or all content may be removed when participation is too low for a valid result, a post is invalid, or it violates the rules.

Feed interaction and technical logs are limited to the scope and duration needed for operations and security, then deleted or de-identified. Backup copies expire under provider backup cycles. Deletion may be limited to the extent required by a legal preservation obligation or active dispute.

6. Your rights

Request access, correction, deletion, restriction, consent withdrawal, or account deletion through app settings or [email protected]. We may verify identity to protect the account and information.

Account deletion instructions are also available at https://judgepop.com/delete-account.

7. Local storage, ads, and tracking

Mobile sessions may be kept in operating-system secure storage. Web sessions, language, and feed settings may use browser storage. The current mobile ad integration requests non-personalized ads, and the app does not request cross-app tracking permission. We will provide advance notice and obtain required consent before changing this practice.

8. Security

JudgePop uses RLS, server-side RPC authorization, ownership checks, secure session storage, secret separation, upload validation, audit logs, and request limiting. No service can guarantee absolute security. If an incident is confirmed, we work to limit its impact and provide notices and actions required by law.

9. Children and teenagers

Do not use the service without lawful guardian consent if the law where you live requires that consent for your age. Content exposing a minor's personal information, face, school, contact details, or sensitive circumstances may be restricted or removed.

10. Changes and contact

Material changes are announced in the app or on the web before they apply, and renewed consent is requested when required. Send privacy questions and rights requests to [email protected].
